Why polyester, not nylon
Lower stretch for measurement accuracy, stronger UV resistance for repeated outdoor use, and it doesn't absorb water the way nylon does.

Day-Of How-To

  1. Enter your rectangle's two sides above to get the target diagonal.
  2. Place a flag at your first corner.
  3. Lay the triangle's two short legs along your intended lines, keep the hypotenuse taut, and adjust the corner until it sits square.
  4. Run a tape along the squared line to the target length and place the next flag.
  5. Repeat the triangle check at the second corner, then run its side out and place the third flag.
  6. Place the fourth flag by measuring off the two known sides.
  7. Measure both diagonals and enter each into the checker above.
  8. Nudge flags until both diagonals read green, then stake the corners.
